This summer I took a photography class with a program in Oxford, England! For my final project I decided to do simple, comparative, close face portraits, with no scenery or contributing factors other than lighting. I took two pictures of each girl, one with them hiding behind their hair and one without.

This was the third set that I took. Looking at the other two, I knew I needed someone who contrasted. I had a ginger and a blond, so I easily went for a brunette. The only issue was...well the girl (Jen)-who I immediately decided I wanted to try this with once I saw her across Pembroke's campus- had never spoken to me before. I tend to be rather shy about asking people to model for me, but I decided that I was going to deal with it for once. So I asked, and it turned out rather well. While she didn't have any experience modeling for photos, her natural beauty made up for most of that. I was very happy with this end result that tied the whole set together.
